Yesterday Rick completed is second round of chemo and the first aggressive round. His blood work has been good during the chemo.
Rick had been dealing with pain and was generally unwell over the weekend and started turning jaundice. Because of these symptoms they did a stat Ultrasound this morning and the good news from the scan is there is no change from the last scan two months ago !!!! This is very good news, the cancer is not progressing and is staying the same .
The Drs want to replace the stent again in Ricks bile duct that is helping the liver drain. They feel it is infected again and needs to be replaced. This will be done by a ERCP which hopefully will be done in the next couple of days.
I will update again when we know more.
Yeah, Kathleen, am glad that it hasn't progressed. How are you holding up? This must be very draining for all of you. Blessings, and praying for you all. We leave to see B. tomorrow for 4 days! Just got back from an Ottawa U teacher course. Saw a bear at Alg. Pk. Hugs to you!
